The National Mall does not close at sundown, and neither does Lisa. Her evening GuruWalk, DC Monuments by Moonlight, spends an hour and a half with the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the Korean War Veterans Memorial after the daytime crowds thin out. Three things. The moonlight walk is shorter, 1 hour 30 minutes against the daytime walk's 2 hours. It starts at the Albert Einstein Statue rather than the World War II Memorial. And it shows the memorials lit up after dark instead of in daylight, which is the whole point of the evening format.
